设计思考:

要了解设计一座蒙氏学校与正常的学校有什么区别，就先要了解蒙氏的教学理念，“请帮助我独立完成”是蒙氏教育经典的一句话，所以站在孩子的角度，认可孩子是空间的主人，在此基础上，进行合理的空间布局与流线设计，让空间直接参与进教育的过程。

我们理解到孩子会无时不刻地从环境中“海绵吸收”式学习，因此建筑空间与环境设计本身就是蒙氏教育的一部分，设计不能过度，要留给孩子大脑足够的空白，让孩子们自己有发挥的空间与余地。同时，科学家证明，孩子只有在有足够安全感的环境下才能自主的学习，在最放松和自由的环境下才能激发出更多的好奇心和潜能。

设计原则：

• 去公建化痕迹的设计，让去幼儿园和“回家”的感觉一样。
• 以孩子的行为模式与视角进行功能布局与流线设计。
• 最少化的设计介入 Less is more，给大脑足够的留白空间。

LMMP介绍：

LMMP成立于2013年，于2024年迁址于公园大道，并与禾光幼儿园合并。LMMP是北京第一家，也是唯一一家中法双语的蒙氏幼儿园，目前配备中英或中法双语环境的蒙氏班，园所拥有来自世界各地20个左右国家的近百名儿童。

Design Process:

If you want to distinct between designing a Montessori school and a traditional school, you should begin with understanding Montessori education philosophy. The phrase "Help me to do it by myself" is a fundamental for Montessori education, emphasizing the child's independence. Therefore, the designers we try to perceive the space from a child's perspective, consider them as the true occupants.

This approach informs a rational spatial layout and circulation design, allowing the environment to actively contribute to the educational process.

Recognizing that children continuously absorb knowledge from their surroundings like sponges, the architectural space and environment design become integrated components of Montessori education.

The design should be “as less as possible”, to providing the child's mind with ample blank space to encourage personal exploration and creativity.

Additionally, some research indicate that children learn from environments ONLY if they feel secure, In a relaxed and free environment, they can stimulate more curiosity and potential.

Design Principles:

• Eliminating Public Space Impressions: The design aims to make the kindergarten feel as comfortable as our home.
• Child-Centered Layout: Function layout and circulations are designed based on children's behavior patterns and perspective.
• Minimalist Intervention: Embracing the "less is more" philosophy, the design provides sufficient blank space to stimulate the child's imagination.

About LMMP:

Established in 2013, La Maison Montessori de Pékin (LMMP) was Beijing's first bilingual Chinese-French kindergarten following Montessori educational principles. In 2024, LMMP relocated to Park Avenue and merged with He Guang Kindergarten. Currently, LMMP offers bilingual Montessori classes in Chinese-English or Chinese-French, hosting nearly 100 children from approximately 20 countries.

This project exemplifies the integration of Montessori educational principles into architectural design, creating a nurturing environment that fosters children's independence, curiosity, and holistic development.
